As part of their food allergy-related training, all Hospitality Services staff at Western University are taking the “Anaphylaxis in Schools” course which covers the basics of anaphylaxis, ways to reduce risks, and the recommended emergency treatment. This free online course is available at, one of the training and awareness resources listed in Food Allergy Canada’s guide for post-secondary institutions – Managing Food Allergies and Anaphylaxis. We acknowledge Western’s focus on training and education; and their efforts to make the safety of their students, staff and faculty a top priority.
