AllergyAware.ca is a website with free access to online anaphylaxis courses developed to help people prevent, recognize and manage potentially life-threatening allergic reactions in the community.

World-class education

With a multidisciplinary team of leading healthcare professionals, advocates, researchers and educators, we bring you education based on current research and expert opinion.

The Allergy Aware website has online courses that have been developed by Food Allergy Canada and Leap Learning Technologies Inc., and medically reviewed by Canadian allergists. The “Anaphylaxis in Schools,” “Anaphylaxis in Child Care Settings,” and “Anaphylaxis in the Community” courses launched between 2014-2016 were developed by Food Allergy Canada and Leap Learning Technologies in partnership with the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. An earlier collaboration among these groups resulted in two national awards from the Canadian Society for Training and Development in 2011. In 2010, the Government of Alberta helped to support the first course version for schools designed for Alberta Education employees.

"Individuals can rely on the online courses for key recommendations and medically-reviewed information about anaphylaxis."
- Dr. Harold Kim, Allergist
