The Allergy Aware website and courses have been developed by Food Allergy Canada (formerly Anaphylaxis Canada) and Leap Learning Technologies Inc., in partnership with the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. A past collaboration among these groups resulted in two national awards from the Canadian Society for Training and Development in 2011. In 2010, the Government of Alberta helped to support the first course version for schools designed for Alberta Education employees.
